The emphasis of the AFL Football Academy camp is on the development of fundamental skills to improve each player’s confidence, creativity and comfort level with playing football. Basic technical and elemental movements are taught to advance each player’s level of understanding, while enhancing their quickness and strength. It is our belief that the game of football can provide youth with skills and philosophies they can utilize throughout their life. Through the AFL Football Academy camp we teach the symmetry between life and athletics.

The three-day AFL Football Academy Camps are offered during the spring in local areas like, Santa Barbara and Santa Ynez with future camps being formed in Columbus, Ohio and Rialto, California. Camp times start at 8:00am and end at 3:30pm.  The Academy Camp is structured to help student athletes with all areas of development, from goal setting to dedication, and knowledge of the game to competition.

Athletes For Life will host two free three-day football camps for area youth held at Santa Ynez HS Field and in Santa Barbara, held at Dos Pueblos HS Lower Fields. With the help of some of the NFL's brightest past and present stars, the AFL Camps will drive home the philosophy that great sportsmanship and being a quality individual are equally as important as physical skill in becoming a great player on and off the field.
